Re: Stop Signs on Erie Street - Steven FUlop

I agree. In the roughly 3 years I've been living near the corner of Erie and Fourth I've seen more than a handful of accidents. It's absurd. Stop signs at intersections seem to make total sense, but gigantic, orange radar signs placed in front of people's homes (signs placed without anyone's consent) are complete rubbish. It's a neighborhood, not a highway median. Put up stop signs but get rid of the ugly ass freeway blinking lights.

Gigantic speed radar sign on Erie and Fourth

Basically, I live near this and don't want it in front of my apartment. It's awful; it's an eyesore. Put a stop sign up but not something so large it's meant for a highway. It's ridiculous.

Whom should I contact to lodge a complaint about this? Police? The city?

I wonder if this house ever stands the chance of actually being finished. Hopefully it won't stay an empty, sketchy shell (and potential squatter home) for the next five years.

What's with the house on 3rd and Erie?

Forgive me if this is in another thread. I only read this board every so often. So, yeah, there's a house pretty much on the corner of Erie and 3rd; it's been in the construction stages for what seems like a year and a half now. From what I can tell nothing has been going on with it for a hell of a long time. Anyone know what's up with it? Weird that it's just been sitting there.

I mean, yeah, that's a good point. The friggin' dogs have sort of eliminated a nice swath of the grass, but what is there is all mangy and gnarly now. So now the lawn sort of resembles a balding dude trying to work a combover with the longer parts. Seriously, someone with a riding mower, go out and give it a once over.

Seriously. Is there a reason it's overgrown and totally unkempt? Does it ever get cut?
