It was packed like sardines.

The actual paper copy says effective October 13th.
Service had indeed improved from 4 trains per hour to 6 per (on the jsq to 33) for most of the day and evening (from 957 am saturday thru sunday 107am). The updated schedule is now on the path website (it states effective 0ct 13). I appreciate the increased frequency!

Sunday service is still the same as May (every 20 minutes for majority of day) I believe and hasn't improved.

I didn't take the train but a friend did and stated it is still every 35 minutes I called PATH around 8am and PATH also stated the trains were running every 35 minutes till the 10 o'clock hour. I'll have to get my hands on one of the updated schedules. I am assuming it is dated October 13th.

For the love of all that is holy, could they PLEASE extend the rush hour schedule for the JSQ train in the evenings?! I can't believe how hard it can get to cram on to a JSQ train from Christopher Street at 8pm.

Meanwhile the trains to Hoboken have plenty of room. (Yes, I know Hoboken connects with NJ Transit.)

Sign on train said new schedules go into effect 10/13, yet website has no mention of this. What is going on!? Will the already abysmal Sunday schedule be made even worse?

Any decrease is bad ...wonder what the reason was for changing Sunday service on the 33rd line.

May 2013 = Sunday service reduced for the Newark/WTC line to once every 20 minutes.

The Port Authority are bastards...

The hard copy I am looking at has the Saturday service for the WTC line as every 15 min from 7:27 am to 11:42 pm. I think that's what it is now.

Saturday service for JSQ to 33rd is every 15 min from 7:46 am to 9:46 am, then every 10 min from 9:57 am to 11:57 pm. Is this improved service? I think it is because going once every 10 min till 11:57 seems later than usual.

But for those of us who take the WTC line on Sunday, the service cutbacks have been noticeable and incredibly annoying. It is really going to hurt to have the same reduction for the 33rd st line.

As for the reasons for decreasing Sunday service on a line that is always packed, there are three.

1. Because they can.
2. **** you.
3. To save money that is better wasted elsewhere, such as their most recent incident where they "overpaid" $60 million for insurance premiums. And got nothing in return.

Will it bypass Hoboken? I am planning a large party when that happens.

Increase service! Jest not! For the past 8 years (as long as I'm in JC), any new schedules only had cutbacks in service. For the priviledge of paying an increased fare, I'll expect the reward of having to wait another 5 minutes for late-night service (was 30 min., now 35 min., expect 40 min.). ..., and please, don't forget to cut down even more on the cleaning of the subway cars. ... One of the worse systems in terms of total distance area covered by the system and number of fare increases coupled with decreased service.

I heard an announcement at JSQ station today that PATH is rolling out new schedules.

But a check of their website still shows the May 13 2013 version.

Didn't check for hard copies at stations.

Anyone know anything?

Almost don't want to know. They gutted service badly with the May revisions.
