Yep.

And the stretch of Newark from Summit to JFK (north side) HAD ALREADY BEEN DONE as part of the recession recovery act, within the past couple of years.

That was a much better job if memory serves.

new PATH schedule

I heard an announcement at JSQ station today that PATH is rolling out new schedules.

But a check of their website still shows the May 13 2013 version.

Didn't check for hard copies at stations.

Anyone know anything?

Almost don't want to know. They gutted service badly with the May revisions.

More PATH service on Christmas, Thanksgiving, than Sundays

In a twist that's indicative of the extent to which they've gutted Sunday service, trains will run more frequently on Christmas and Thanksgiving than they do on every Sunday of the year..

That's because holidays get the much more reasonable Saturday schedule.

That's good for travel on holidays, and necessary, but is yet another sign that they've badly butchered Sunday service.

35-minute frequency DOES NOT WORK.

The service cutbacks are pretty much all on Sunday.

But they are major.

The NWK-WTC line on Sunday morning used to depart NWK at 9:15, 9:30, 9:45 etc before shifting to a 10-minute sked at some point.

Now, it will be 9:15, 9:50, 10:20 before shifting to a 20-minute sked.

Means overfilled trains and long waits getting into the city on Sunday morning.

This while the 33rd St. line is leaving JSQ at 8:55, 9:30, 10:05 and 10:35. That's the same -- a cutback from a few years back that has been grandfathered in silently. Those trains are stuffed to the gills.

SUNDAY NWK-WTC Line, Before 10:20 AM

SERVICE HAS BEEN CUT TO EVERY 35 MINUTES

THAT'S COMPARED TO EVERY 15 MINUTES UNDER PREVIOUS SCHEDULE (FROM 7-10AM SUNDAYS)

THAT'S A MAJOR REDUCTION IN SERVICE IN THE MIDDLE OF A MASSIVE, THREE-YEAR FARE HIKE

Throw the bums (MEPT) out! A local investor would be preferable anyway.

And throw out the suit. JCRA's tough talk on enforcing the deadline could just as easily be seen as an incentive to banks serious about the project to step up with funds.

But financing is hard because of the economic climate, not because of what the JCRA said to the Jersey Journal. That is a ridiculous argument.

Plant some grass and trees if no other developer steps in to fill the shoes.

Know this area. Directly across from Beacon on other side of Montgomery. There's a Chinese restaurant and a video store on the west side of Summit. But I think think was slightly farther north at Mercer St.

Canco is overpriced.

What is the biz model? views of the pulaski skyway when views of NYC can be had in much of jc? give me a break.

at best, it's a 15-minute walk to jsq, if you haul a. and shuttles are no fun.

Canco will fail.

I agree a big improvement there. They are a pretty well equipped convenience store now.

Wonder about the quality of the fresh deli. Has anyone sampled the cold cuts/sandwiches/salads?

I am cramming for tomorro's vote. I am pretty much up to speed on Menendez/Kean but does anyone have any insight on the other congressional seat up for grabs tomorrow?

It's for a House rep right?

Any help appreciated.

I thought it was what I owed. But I'll have to double check.

I hope you're right. I was thinking of this as an additional tax and was freaking out a bit.

But that makes sense. This is just JC letting us know how they are allocating the tax money.

And the fact that the amount that I pay each month with the mortgage totals more than just the amount JC is getting, accounts for state property taxes right?

Anyway, thanks for the tip.

Mandar--

Yeah, I don't have it figured out as well you do.

All I know is I am also a recent owner in JC and I just received my city and county taxes this past weekend. The bill was WAY higher than I imagined it would be.

Looks like I'll be paying several thousand dollars a year in these taxas, and that's independent from the property taxes I pay with the mortgage payment.

They're both staggering sums.

My question is what's the difference: The one that you pay with the mortgage payment versus this one that I just received that you pay by quarter?

Thanks for any clarification.
