No this is for a place I had the last few years, that I just refinanced.
You may be right. I ended up calling up Geico who I have my auto with an she said normally the buildings flood insurance would be sufficient enough and I should supply them with that instead and see what they say. So I am doing this.

I think you have to use a broker for flood. We use Muller in Hoboken and the provider is Selective. It's about $3000 a year for us.

Going through a broker saves a lot of hassle - changing insurers, reporting to banks, etc. I use Borgeson Agency out of Oradell.

Selective is definitely the most popular carrier for flood insurance in the area from what I've seen.

I just got a letter from my mortgage servicer say telling me that they require flood insurance on my property. Has anyone had something similar? If so how much are you paying for flood, where did you end up getting it?

Thanks in advance.
