A story based on the tip could also end up frontpage on the JJ or Reporter. It's cool if you don't give a flip. Personally you've just became my favorite poster. Viva La Resistance, bitches!

JCIA subpoenaed in probe of Bayonne snow removal firm
Monday, September 17, 2007 By MICHAELANGELO CONTE JOURNAL STAFF WRITER The FBI and IRS have served subpoenas to the Jersey City Incinerator Authority, apparently in connection to an investigation into the owner of a Bayonne demolition company who has a snow removal contract with the JCIA, officials said. The subpoenas served were for contracts and billing information related to Backhoe Services Inc., owned by Anthony R. Ambrosio, 49, of Holmdel, JCIA Executive Director Oren Dabney said last week. Ambrosio was picked up by the FBI on Aug. 3 and later released on a $1 million bail, officials said. Ambrosio and his daughter, Lisa Derosa, are charged with two counts of structuring financial transactions to evade federal reporting requirements and two counts of actual structuring. It is alleged that they made cash withdrawals from company accounts and deposited some of the money in the accounts of family members between January 2004 and May 2007. "Anthony has no concern whatsoever about any of the subpoenas issued," said Ambrosio's attorney, Anthony Iacullo. "All work done by Anthony Ambrosio and Backhoe Services and any of his companies was above board and payment was only for the services rendered by him." Dabney said the subpoenas, which also list others with the last name "Ambrosio," were served on Aug. 30 and the federal agents returned on Sept. 5 for more information. Dabney said Backhoe Services is one of five companies on retainer with the JCIA to supplement its own fleet in snow salting, plowing and removal. The total paid for those services by the JCIA this winter was about $1 million, but Backhoe Services' share of the work amounted to only about $71,000 of the total, Dabney said. Each charge Ambrosio and his daughter face carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison and fines of up to $250,000. Ambrosio's bail was secured by his $6 million home, said his attorney Anthony Iacullo. Dabney said Backhoe Services did a great job as far as the snow removal. He also said that he has no reason to believe that the JCIA did anything wrong or is being investigated. "The Incinerator Authority is always going to provide professional services to residents with honesty and integrity and I expect nothing less from my staff," Dabney said. "We have no tolerance for anyone employed here to do otherwise." After Ambrosio's arrest, Derosa surrendered to federal authorities and was released after posting a bail of similar amount to her father's, Iacullo said.
