Its just a sneaky way to raise taxes.Since any surplus funds from the MUA go directly to city hall, raise the MUA fees and plug the budget hole. Then claim that taxes have not gone up.

Projected budget short fall for this year is 72 million dollars.
Thats gonna take a whole lot of gimmicks to fix. This is just the start.

Could they not at least tried to look for someone among the many community groups in ward B.

Donally went to work for Jun Choi in Edison but was let go,Why?
David thought he was going to be Chief of staff and Choi thought he was getting a seasoned political operative from Hudson county,
both were disappointed.

Anybody wanna bet how long it takes for him to get a county Job?

Healy check list for a loyal person in council seat:White/Irish/Goes out drinking with us/Does what we say. He's a lock.

While at the Hoboken italian day Festival i thought about how great the mount Carmel feast used to be.It would go on for blocks
just like in Hoboken.

Holy rosary Feast

Columbus day Parade

Tommy Smith in a Firemens hat helping Battle the Fire in City Hall.

Meatloaf Day at Shannons Bar

Walking the Tracks that connected the 6th street embankment.Back then the kids treated it like a park.

When they turned the state theater into a disco roller rink.

Supper furry read the book.Page 39 states that Lou Manzo was on Govt.list in the case but since everyone plead guilty before trial nothing more came of it.I did not mention his brother because he is not running for anything and so should be left out of the debate.

Mayoral Candidate Lou Manzo gets named in the book "The Soprano State" NJ's culture of corruption

I bought the paperback version of the book "the soprano State
and on page 39 I found Lou Manzo being written about in connection with an insider trading scandal involving Ex Governor McGrevee and his chief of staff. This is a great book about all the different corruption scandals involving NJ politicians.

That being said we now have a choice between Healy,a nice guy but an incompetent mayor.Lou Manzo, who may or not be corrupt
.Harvey Smith who is better than the two above although his association with Gene Drayton is toxic.

I think Downtown should rally around Dan Levin. They say he can't win city wide but there are 27,000 registered voters in Ward E that could say different.

I don't think this is even Lou Manzo who is posting. The lou i know hates computers and does not even have E-mail.This is probably
his PR person who has told him he must "go on jclist and let them see your one of them".Funny the Newbie above his name says it all.

Now that he is here lets ask him some Questions that do count downtown.
I will start:
Why as an assemblymen did you vote against the Same sex marriage proposal that was put forth. This affects me personally. Please answer.

Its only January.Ward E has 27,000 registered voters. If we all got our friends and neighbors to support Dan Levin he could win.

Isn't it about doing whats right, not just holding your nose and voting for the lesser of the two Rotten choices.

I work for the city so no one would be more pleased then me to see Healy go but at what cost.Do i wake up and find Jerry McCann
running my department.

I am voting Levin "09" Viva the resistance

Can someone please tell me why people think that Lou Manzo is a
Reformer.
He is mentioned in the book "the soprano state"as having been brought before the grand jury investigateing Ex governor McGrevy in a bill board scandal.

He is still on the public payroll in Union City as a health inspector.

He is an insurance broker who had a huge insurance package with hudson county till he lost the election.

He has run on the HCDO line when it suits him and his last running mate was charly (londongate) Epps.

This guy is a has been who never was.Reformer, i think not.

VOTE LEVIN viva the resistance.

In city hall their laughing because davids thread 'Fulop will not get my vote" is pushed back up top while this thread has disapeared. They only considered Fulop a pain in the ass before but now that he is messing with their lively hood it is going to escalate. He better watch his back. You have no idea what these people are capable of.

Park alert:City to move transformers to park.

The triangle shaped piece of property next to the Powerhouse that was to become a small park or outdoor artist showcase is in danger of becoming the new home for the transformers that are in front of the powerhouse.

Those transformers were supposed to go underground but now Bob Antinecello from the JCRA wants to move them all onto that triangle piece.I wonder how the people in The Portofino are going to like that. How ugly is that going to look plus a bad place from a safety standpoint. There is no park space in that area and Bob Cotter had supported an outdoor Sculpture garden there.

Call the Jcra and the Mayors office to let them know we are wise to them.

His relative is the receptionist in the MUA office in charge of permits like Demo.
