Why? He was no longer the HCDO candidate, and even as an incumbent you basically have to walk on water to overcome that. And he doesn't. Reportedly he was overconfident and didn't care how many enemies he made. My only beef with his dept was the hassle they gave my kids school, LCCS. Maybe now they can get the street closed for recess like every other school in JC.

The amazing thing was most people probably didn't even know there was a congressonial election until Albio's campaign literature started to arrive last week almost daily... then the TV Ads started about the same time. I saw one opponenet sign in a window on Newark Ave. Hard to believe Perez was not reelected... just the wrong column for the bullet.
