I think cameras would be a great deterrent.

As for the idiot trolling the post. Start a new thread and post your heavily biased statements and come to this post with solutions or comments.

sigh

Yea, wha she said.

But don't they have cameras in the lot to record this and be used in court?
I kno this is not like the Wal*Mart parkin lot where every square inch in recorded but they might have something to see what doors were being touched.

This is a cultural problem in JC. And this problem starts in our schools. JC has some of the worst high schools in NJ. Ferris, Dickinson, Snyder, and Lincoln should either be turned private or demolished. Their funding should be tied to graduation rates, test scores, and personal achievements - awards in science, math, and art fairs.

Without McNair, the school system would be even more of a crapshoot.

Kids go to school and do what? learn how to assault people, cuss, and grow up to be delinquents. When they graduate high school - what else is there to do besides crime?

This is probably the single dumbest post I've seen on this site and that says a lot.

While I'm at it, stop trying to derail the thread, dummy.

With untrustworthy customers and store employees and thieves at grocery stores in JC, is it any wonder why Whole Foods and Trader Joe's don't want to open here?

Yeah, but unlike ShopRite and BJs, you never saw Pathmark shopping carts all over the city. Only since Metroplaza rather recently installed the electronic sensors has that problem slowed.

You obviously haven't been to the Old Colony Pathmark, where they still can't trust their customers to be able to push a shopping cart to their car in the lot without taking it back to the 'hood. If you're concerned about your car, A&P's lot (and the store itself) are usually nearly empty.

File a police report at the East District station. You will most likely get nowhere calling the property management company. You might get nowhere with the police department, but at least it will be recorded, they might be inclined to keep a closer eye on the lot (don't even get me started on the predatory towing), if cars start getting robbed they will at least have some record of prior incidents.

My wife's bicycle got stolen out of our garage a few years ago and I just shrugged it off as the price of living in Jersey City, but a cop friend told me to fill out a police report anyway. Otherwise, they have no idea anything nefarious is going on.

I avoid that parking lot at all costs...
