Yup. As I seem to remember they were uncooperative with the investigation. Stopped going there at that point.

Interesting... it must be about 10 years ago when that young woman disappeared (Guyanese?) after closing the NYC restaurant. Eventually found murdered after a lot of family appeals by mother and sister.
Seemed like police were really looking hard a staff/security. Believe tragic case of wrong place wrong time with some creepy stalker type. Anyone remember? Quote:

KERRY BURKE, JOHN ANNESE JAN 3, 2017 4:01 AM A 51-year-old chef was found dead in his Chelsea apartment Monday, police said. Police found John Kekalos, 51, face-up in the living room of his 50th-floor apartment at the Beatrice ? a swanky high-rise hotel and apartment building on W. 29th St. Kekalos? housekeeper discovered the body, and though the medical examiner will determine his cause of death, investigators don't suspect foul play, sources said. The chef had bruises on his elbows and knees, sources added. In 2014, Kekalos was a partner in a Jersey City restaurant, Red Hand, according to NJ.com. A man answering the phone at the restaurant said he was aware of Kekalos? death but couldn?t comment Monday night. A man answering Kekalos relative's phone declined to comment as well
