Someday we might finally re-institutionalize the chronically mentally ill. At least those who refuse to medicate on their own or where they are beyond medication.
Not holding my breath in anticipation though.

The guy is on drugs, needs to be on drugs or has taken too much drugs
Society and Government authorities need to address the mental health needs of the community - If we invested 10% of the defence budget on mental health programs, we would have a safer and healthier community, instead it would appear that we have a reactive approach to mental care ... we wait until a person commits a crime and only then do we offer a lame mental health program behind cell doors. No-one with a stable mental health goes around grabbing people and threatening people
