Might be worth checking ZocDoc. You can enter your insurance information and it will find doctors (specialists, if specified) that are in your insurance network. You'll also get to read reviews from patients. You can view the doctors' calendars, find and schedule an appointment right away. I've used ZocDoc to find my dentist, PCP, and a dermatologist when I needed one.

Try the office of Giorgio Di Vincenzo 201-216-9191. There are three dentists, not all of whom take every dental insurance. The office is on Academy about 5 minutes from JSQ PATH.

I've had some very complicated dental issues and Dr. Michael Feintuch is the root canal specialist I've come to rely on. I've had other dentists comment on what a good job he's done in the past.

He's in Paramus, but I believe he also has an office in Bayonne. I'd see him first and then go to the oral surgeon next.

Dr. Michael Feintuch
Endodontic Associates of Bergen County
1 Kalisa Way
Suite 106
Paramus, NJ 07652
Phone: (201)262-3636

This is a good local oral surgeon. He was very attentive - a little bit grumpy, but his work is excellent:

Spinnato Gaetano G DDS
Address: 925 Broadway, Bayonne, NJ 07002
Phone:(201) 858-1400

Have your friend mention her ongoing pain. That's not good - and dentists usually take you in immediately if you are in pain. Sucking on whole cloves helps in the interim (put them in the area where the tooth hurts), in addition to pain meds. Good luck.

My friend is in need of a second opinion after having a botched root canal performed on her. She was told by the specialist that it would also require removal of wisdom teeth and she would have to wait until October to have the procedure.

She is in so much pain that she would like a second opinion.

She is insured. Does anyone have any good recommendations or personal experiences with an oral surgeon. Does not have to be local.

Once again thank you, Jclisters!
