 Bail was set at $200,000 today for a 51-year-old Jersey City man charged on Thursday with possession of more than 25 pounds of suspected marijuana with intent to distribute near a school and near public property, officials said. Michael Martin of the 300 block of Grove Street, made his first court appearance on the charges this afternoon in Central Judicial Processing court in Jersey City via video link from Hudson County jail in Kearny. He is charged with possession with intent to distribute the suspected marijuana, about 10 grams of suspected cocaine and about 1.5 ounces of suspected hashish within 1,000 feet of the Church of the Resurrection School at 189 Brunswick St. and within 500 feet of Laurel Court Park, the criminal complaint says.
