I haven't seen a robin yet but I had a very noisy blue jay & my beautiful cardinals are still here.

This was absolutely not a joke. I'm just hoping the word got out to the proper authority after I spoke with someone on the phone at the police station. The gentleman I spoke with seemed to take me seriously and told me he'd be sending someone to check out the situation. I let him know it was creating a traffic situation, hoping that would spur on more urgent action than just an injured bird. I'm glad we persisted with the slow traffic instead of turning off on a side street, otherwise we may never have seen the bird.
BTW she was really beautiful. It was amazing to see such a big bird in our urban jungle. I wondered how many passers by even knew what she was. Quote:

I don't think an injured animal is something to be taken lightly...i don't see the intended humor in this post

I usually pass by there but didn't this morning...
There are two Wild Turkeys that are generally in the cemetery or roosting in the trees near the freight tracks, though I've seen one across Newark Ave on the school lawn as well. I hope it's all right... please post if there are any updates!

Wow, I've never seen them that far into the city before. If you're in LSP early enough in the morning, they're all over Freedom Way.

We saw a wild turkey on Newark Ave this morning around 7:50am right after we passed Healy's, on our way up to Journal Sq. It appeared injured and traffic was slowing for it. I called the police to report it. I'm wondering if anyone has any updates? Did you see it? Poor bird!
