I was shown around JC for the 1st time in 97 by a guy who was trying to unload a small portfolio of properties he and a group of friends had invested in during the bubble of the late 80's. One was a condoed 6 unit on 8th st for $190k. Not per unit, for the whole thing. I think they should have held on, don't you?

I told my wife about this thread, as she was making a curry! She said the curry smell would be a point in their favor. We once had a tenant of Indian heritage who was a gourmet chef and would hold elaborate dinner parties.

Thy're now leaving (we did not force them out) and I don't like the idea of profiling new tenants based on this, but I can't take years more of a rattling house, and don't even want to respond to inquiries from Indians about the apartment.

Any experiences out there?
