According to Silverman, most of the retail space there is smaller, locally-owned shops. A few local business owners are planning to move there. So no Whole Foods or Trader Joes.

The rendering looks great. The scale is reasonable, the brick and aesthetic is in line with the area. Could be a nice project in a prime area. Now we'll see if it matches reality.

I'm sure SRhia's comment below was meant at least somewhat in jest but this really would be an ideal spot for a WF, TJ's, or other yupster foodmart.

It looks huge - I guess comparing to the (previous) parking lot that doesn't block sun.

Wonder what retail will be there... Let's get the Whole Foods rumor going again...

Does anyone know what is being done at the site of Simon's parking lot along Grove between York and Montgomery? They are digging it up and installing a fence in the street on both Grove and York (suggestive of scaffolding to come?).

Thanks,

Andy
