On the streets or in there car police can't be every where.....

Until we can get cops out of their cars and unto the streets in every neighborhood, not just DT and the HUB, This is what you get. NYC did it right, cops on the street not in the cars or chilling at Wonder Bagels.

Sounds to me like we could use more police in the DT area..everyone who attends community meetings knows that the police budget is under funded. They havent hired new cops in years. They also seems to have a shortage of "superior officers" to ensure that the policemen that we do have are doing their job. Wonder where all the tax dollars are going...Im not ragging on the police I just wish they had more funding so they could get the job done...

How can you catch the perp if you don't know the color of their skin? Hair? Eye color? Something. It's obscene.

A 22-year-old Downtown Jersey City woman was attacked on her doorstep by robbers who took her phone but couldn't pry her purse away early this morning, reports said.
At 12:20 a.m. the Warren Street woman was talking on her cell phone as she approached her door and a man snatched the phone away while a second man approached her from behind and placed her in a bear hug, reports said.
She screamed and struggled as the men tried to take her purse but she managed to hang on, reports said, adding that they threw the woman to the ground and ran away southbound on Warren.
The victim said the robbers were 22 to 24-years-old and were wearing dark hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, reports said.
