I look forward to hearing what recommendations Smith will offer. Based on his days as Council President, I'd guess his crime fighting strategy will consist of community outreach, talk about youth programs and feel good block parties. In other words, nothing that will fight crime.

Smith to chat on crime
Jersey Journal Monday, April 13, 2009 Jersey City mayoral candidate L. Harvey Smith is scheduled to speak about crime at a meeting in the Jersey City Heights tonight, campaign officials said.Joining Smith will be homicide inspector Calvin Hart, who is running on Smith's slate for the Ward F council seat, the officials said. The event will be held at 7 p.m. in Riverview-Fisk Park, located at Palisade and Ogden avenues.
