I have been there once, for one of the art fairs, and the space itself is fine but everything from the marketing to the crowd to the bouncers just screams "tacky person's idea of luxury" to me.

powerhouse is corny. it's a nice venue, but the vibe and crowd are lame. bartenders are stuck up b*itches.

I have been here a few times and this place is not bad but its not for the new jc dwellers, they cater to the 9-5 set who works here and then leaves. Its a after work spot or a great spot if you want to rent out for an event. +1 on the sushi rolls pretty good stuff.

I'm not in the market, no. But I do hope that somebody with an awesome vision buys the place.
Yes, the sushi/pizza/cheesy nightclub combination vibe is just not working for me.

You guys might not know it, but the sushi rolls at Powerhouse are probably the best in Jersey City. IF they taste the same as when I last went, which was few months ago.

Does anybody know if the Powerhouse Lounge is still for sale? I remember hearing it was for sale about a year ago, but I don't see it on any list of JC bars/restaurants for sale.
