Pretty stupid, should have moved it to Lincoln Park, and looked good for highlighting an area of JC other than DT. Either way the thousands of parking spots at LSP are lost, and the walk from JSQ PATH to the fountain in Lincoln is only a few minutes longer than the walk from the LSP light rail to the middle of the LSP esplanade.
I wonder if the County said no?

This is a disaster, cluster-eff in waiting - Exchange Place is WAY TOO SMALL to host something like this - are King Steve and his administration crazy??

JERSEY CITY ? Mayor Steven M. Fulop announces the return and the expansion of the one-of-a-kind Jersey City Freedom & Fireworks Festival at Exchange Place on Tuesday, July 4th, 2017 from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. with more than 150,000 expected attendees. This year?s Fourth of July family-friendly festival?s location has moved from Liberty State Park to Exchange Place due to all state parks being closed due to a budget impasse.
