I'm sure his campaign would never approve such tactics. It must be some kind of mistake.

From my own recent experience I suspect something much more innocent is going on. We requested a sign, and I think it got put up next door by mistake (similar things happen to us all the time, as we live in an ex-church building -- delivery guys/FedEx don't realize it's a residence etc.). But before we could inform the campaign, the sign was a victim of the vandals that destroyed every Fulop ad on our block.

I would be surprised if this has happened. The guy is so conscientious, and so is his campaign staff. If there was a sign placed at the wrong house, it must have been a mistake, and I'm sure they would fix it pronto.

Also, it was Steve, acting as a leader, who pledged not to put up signs on street poles, telephone poles, and the like. After he put forward this idea, the other candidates fell into line.

That's leadership and while there are a few signs up on telephone poles, it is not nearly as bad as past years. Things are starting to turn around.

Nope, haven't run into this. But, what I have run into are renters with Healy signs up on their buildings, but don't want them there. When asked about this, they tell me that the "owners" put them up and that they are afraid to complain about it.

Pretty much developers who have already gotten sweetheart deals from the city love Healy and know this will end when fair rules are put into place.

But, you gotta love machine politics. Vote the machine out on May 14th.

Haven't seen this with Fulop but I have seen it with Healy having his posters on abandon lots.

Has anyone else run into problems with the Fulop campaign team attaching signs to properties without the owner's consent? This has happened on a couple of houses that I know of in the Heights. One elderly lady was actually hurt trying to remove the sign.

I witnessed one sign being put up at around 10pm and the owners removed it the next day.

Gotta love good old fashioned Jersey City politics!
