A painter who doesn't take the plates off receptacles and switches has no pride in his work, but I'm sure they're cheaper.

And you have to tell them things like you want your baseboards painted. He said he'd come back to paint them but never did. I'm also still trying to get paint off my hardwood floors. He was affordable but the job was a little too slapdash.

Oops, I meant to write that ceiling height is only about 12' - 13' so ladder wouldn't have to be quite so tall! Thanks and any leads would be much appreciated.

Requirements:
I would like to hire someone who does the work directly, i.e. not working as a subcontractor. High quality work, and since it is for a loft, he must own a long ladder (ceiling height is about 16'). Preferences I will be providing the paint and rollers and would prefer that the painter bring all of his own supplies (rods, tarp, sheets, etc.) I can help out with moving furniture, so can be an individual and not necessarily a crew. Would appreciate feedback and recommendations. Job is in downtown. Thank you.
