Just a friendly reminder...the Empire State Building was built in 410 days. Just over a year to build in 1931.

This is a perfect explanation for why Christie vetoed the tunnel to Macy?s basement-NJ would?ve been solely responsible for all cost overruns.

It is absolutely and undeniably INSANE that such a small bridge will take over 10 years before it is fully complete. And, of course, not just late in delivery, but also way above budget. And, then, they turn around and tell us it is a "complex" project and that winter has delayed things. As to the former, that's just like pissing all over people and telling them it is raining. It's not like this is the first bridge of its kind. As to the latter, how can anyone in NJ be caught by surprise by winter?! It happens EVERY year.
NJ is so corrupt!

Is it more amazing that the construction of the Empire State Building took only a little over a year or projects like Wittpenn Bridge, Pulaski Skyway rehabilitation project, etc. take years and years? Hey Miss AOC, we really need MORE government. Yeah, right.

The new $480M Wittpenn Bridge construction is a year behind. Why? It’s complicated.Lift bridges -- those hulking steel spans that have a center section that rises and lowers to let boat traffic pass -- are complicated structures. A new one being built in Hudson County is so complex, it is off its original construction schedule by at least a year. The new Route 7 Wittpenn Bridge was originally scheduled to open to traffic this year. Instead, the lift section of the bridge that was supposed to be hoisted in place last year is still sitting on a barge, waiting. And officials project it won’t be open to traffic until 2020. https://www.nj.com/traffic/2019/03/the ... -why-its-complicated.html
