Schwarma, Cafe batata, or Hamilton Pork healthy? I hope those were sarcastic.
John's kitchen cafe has some decent cooked vegetable dishes, but their salads came on standard diner ice berg lettuce. There is room for some actual salad lunch/takeaway places downtown, that are not "organic" markets. Subia's or Hudson Greene Market focus mostly on importing retail products on shelves, not much fresh to go. There are plans for a Sunac's Natural Market opening (which has custom salad and fresh healthy togo options currently only in NYC) http://jerseydigs.com/columbus-towers ... and-sunac-natural-market/ Short Grain has some options for salad and their avocado toast is a real treat. Koro Koro rice balls, although not salad, are tasty and are not fried/minimal oil, especially the vegetarian ones. Newport mall food court has an actual salad place, but navigating a mall food court to eat salad regularly is time consuming. I think there is a definite lack of fast fresh options. Sure you can order salad on a restaurant menu somewhere (usually loaded with cheese and oily dressings), but the wealth of options in Hoboken/Manhattan even in terms of non-franchises is pretty polarizing.

I think the bibimbop from Ahris Kitchen is pretty healthful. Fresh marinated veggies and some sauce. The rice tho..

I wouldn't classify any restaurant in JC as healthy overall, honestly, but some have better options if you're into salads. I personally like all of the salads at White Star, the chicken/mint salad from Saigon, and the chicken schwarma from Gypsy Grill.

What are the healthiest restaurants in JC? Specifically, looking for a restaurant that caters to salad lovers and the weight-consicous. DTJC/Exchange Place preferred. Thanks.
