There seems to be a thread about it every year, it's a hilarious read.

It's a slow day at work today and THIS just made it all worth while. Thank you so much Monroe. There is some good stuff in there lol lol lol

Whenever I get down on JCLIST, I head on over to MOL and realize it isn't so bad over here... ;)

Um, maybe because IT'S NOT SUMMER YET? Jeebus, have patience, you can't swim for 30 minutes after eating anyway,

Thanks for the suggestions! Now I'm also curious as to why the concession stand is not in operation.

Ditto on Chiko's, great Cuban sandwich for just $5. In fact, Nemobeatz clued me into the place last year.

Chiko's deli down the block is a great Latin restaurant with fantastic food and literally right down the block (corner of pacific and Johnston). One of my fav spots in Lafayette.

When they opened, there was a concession stand with VERY reasonable prices. They don't have one anymore???

The Lafayette Corner store, formerly Monegro's bodega, has great sandwiches, healthy option, house made salads (potato, tuna, macaroni) and it's just a great place. Communipaw and Pine.

And The Grind Shop, on Communipaw just west of Pacific, has great coffee, tea, and a pretty good selection of pastries from Balthazar Bakery daily, and the Donut Plant in NYC on weekends.

Does anyone know if there's a concession stand or any type of food sold at the Lafayette pool on Johnston?

If not, are you allowed to bring your own food?

If not, what's good and available in the immediate area for a quick bite of food?

Thanks.
Nothing at the pool, but I would recommend ,"Martha's" a couple of blocks away on Pacific, just north of Communipaw. Fresh, really good tasting food, with a friendly staff. A great addition to the neighborhood. Prices are resonable too.
