Newark huh? Odd. Beyond parties and stuff that the Devils do each year I don't think I saw much trick or treating going on in Newark in the 4+ years I lived there. Seeing it at #3 is...surprising. But maybe I don't give Newark enough credit. I lived in East Orange for about 6 years as well and I think I saw more trick or treating and stuff going on there, but probably less activities, since they seem to weight it by Halloween stores, movie theaters, candy stores, parties and the like. Which are more likely to be in a place like Newark.

Can anyone clarify when the Paulus Hook children's/pet parade will be? It's listed on their website: http://www.paulushook.org (scroll down) but it says "Saturday 10/31" on the flyer and then "Sunday, 10/31" underneath... I assume the Sunday is a typo?

Calendar also shows Saturday. Sunday is most definitely a typo.

Is there a list anywhere of everything that is happening in JC for Halloween? I know on Friday there is Journal Scare 7p-11p and Porta s having a party. I think Saturday Zeppelin Hall has something going on and the Iron Monkey.

Anyone know of other happenings?

The last few years I've looked for things but it seems like the information just comes out about a week prior.

Essentially, these are the things I'm aware of...

Newark Ave Pedestrian Plaza - DJ and costumes
Zeppelin Hall - Costume Party
Iron Monkey - Costume Party
Departed Soles - Brewery is open, not sure if anything specific but seems to be doing a Halloween theme.

After that, I'm not sure...
