Rustique.....more like Mustique! I was a loyal customer till one day, he gave me a pie that was so underdone you could still taste the egg in the dough.....Not only that but I would have gotten seriously ill had I eaten a salad he gave to me that had one pretty layer of fresh salad on top, then disgusting rotted salad that filled 3/4ths of the rest of take out container. Clearly on purpose. You see I'd Yelp these things however I don't want to help destroy their business...since they do a good enough job on their own! Adios!

Depends on who's drawing the map. Love this one: http://jclist.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?post_id=355161

Yeah, I love that map. :) But I haven't ever heard of Embankment border of Harsimus Cove being disputed.

I'm as much a fan of accuracy as anyone, but this is not a JC-Only issue. Today I walked past a store in Manhattan (THE GREATEST CITY IN THE WORLD, as we're constantly reminded). Its awning advertised "Smoking Acesiories". I literally stopped and stared.

All the misspelled store signage in JC must keep you up at night I guess. Or when they spell Tonnelle in about four different ways across JC.

Lowering our standards will never result in making our city better.

You work in a place where people lose their jobs over silly, harmless and slightly humorous mistakes? Sure, better proofreading would be good, but it's a FREE, kind-of-entertaining magazine that promotes local businesses. Relax. It's not The Atlantic.

I understand it is a free publication. My problem is simple proofreading. The current issue has an article about a new apartment building. The layout is referred to as "cookie cooker" rather than "cookie cutter". I know it a small error but people lose their jobs for less. If this magazine is representative of our city, the standards should be set a bit higher.

I tend to be a little less critical of magazines that are FREE!

They're not doing much fact checking, though-the story on Boulevard Drinks says they use a custom made Sabrett hot dog which aren't available in supermarkets. No, they are not custom made-and the reason they're not available in supermarkets is that supermarkets don't sell Sabretts in that small, 12 to a pound size.
