Not to be that guy, but assault weapons really aren't a thing. It's a political term generally used to mean "scary looking, military-style gun".

Assault rifles, which are can be used full auto (i.e. pull the trigger once, and multiple shots are fired), can actually be purchased by citizens, if they get a blessing from the BATFE. But you really need to be connected to get the tax stamp, and it's almost impossible to import / build new assault rifles, so they are essentially irrelevant.

Laughable. So they would give precedence to those who do not sell to Civilians? Absolutely ridiculous, now they can win bids even if they charge a premium. They don't manufacture "Assault Weapons" exactly what are those?

Just plain Stupidity.

The low information voters don't understand that no gun company can sell assault weapons to civilians. It's hysterical on every level. Of course, those SWAT looking officers patrolling the PATH and Light Rail do look awesome today!
