A Jersey City man was stabbed around midnight Friday while sleeping at Barrow Street and Newark Avenue, police reports said. The victim described the man who stabbed him as roughly 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, and a person who is frequently seen riding a bike in the area. The person who committed the assault fled east on Newark Avenue, according to the report. The victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health for treatment.
