Revel - and AC in general - also faces the "problem" of legalized casinos in Philadelphia.

A/C was never and will never be Vegas.
The Revel was so poorly constructed and it's only getting worse as the funds dry up. I was there a few months back with some friends. My friend went to get in the shower and door handle fell. He then got into the shower and tried to turn the water on and the faucet broke off. That place was doomed from the word Go...

How can AC be everything that Vegas is? What would you do to get there?

Never going to happen under this, or any other Republican administration. Historically, Atlantic City boomed as a resort before the advent of the car and the many amenities made it a destination for long visits. While Revel - seemingly alone among the modern casinos - at least faced the ocean, it could have been anywhere. What happened to Revel, as will kill Xanadu if anyone tries to resuscitate it, is Christie's reliance on the appeal of the hermetically sealed, car-dependent, revenue focused "anywhere USA" destination model. Christie will never be able to think outside of that box, and AC will continue to languish.

$267 million of taxpayer money down the drain...another xanadu. nj needs to think about improving its infrastructure if it wants to be competitive. i'd rather hop on a plane to vegas than endure the torturous jorney to ac

I can't blame Christie for Revel not doing well. It's a great place that targets a specific audience that doesn't use Atlantic City. It's a shame because AC can be everything that Vegas is...

what a shame that Revel has filed for bankruptcy again. The solution: high speed rail/ferries to NY and improve the sh_thole neighborhoods in AC
