The silliness is how any chance to attack Christie causes the looney left to hyperventilate-and they get nuttier because he becomes more popular each day.

He's pretty much the most liked politician in the US. That scares the crap out of Mrs. Clinton's supporters.

This has turned into the defacto kitchen sink/Monrore silliness thread.

It's only in a looney left wet dream at this point in time, if there was a shred of evidence it'd be out already.

Right now this is a 'when did you stop beating your wife' kinda story, Christie is better off doing what he's doing by not responding.

Of course, though, Woodward gets ignored these days because he called out Obama on the sequester, so the drive by media now tries to belittle him when he gets mentioned at all!

Kelly: Assemblyman
says order for GWB
traffic tie-up came
from outside Port
Authority

The George Washington Bridge
lane closures that led to
paralyzing gridlock in Fort Lee
this past September were
ordered by someone outside the
Port Authority and possibly for
?an improper motive,? said the
state lawmaker leading the
investigation into whether the
closings were politically
motivated.

?There are documents that
we?ve received that would
indicate that there was
somebody else who initiated
this,? said Assemblyman John
Wisniewski. ?There are words
that are used that would imply
an improper motive.?

Wisniewski, who has scheduled
more hearings next week in
Trenton on the controversy in
his role as chairman of the
Assembly Transportation
Committee, declined to say who
those other officials might be or
what their motives were.

But he left little doubt that he
planned to take a closer look at
Governor Christie and his staff
of political operatives. The
governor jointly steers the Port
Authority with New York Gov.
Andrew Cuomo, appointing its
top executives and
commissioners.

President Obama?s Approval Rating Jumps 5 Points as Millions Sign Up for Obamacare

President Obama?s Approval Rating Jumps 5 Points as Millions Sign Up for Obamacare By: Jason Easley Wednesday, January, 1st, 2014, 2:09 pm

President Obama is beginning 2014 on the upswing as millions are signing up for the ACA, and his approval rating has increased by 5 points according to Gallup.

The Gallup Obama approval daily tracking poll reveals that the president?s approval rating has jumped five points since the days before Christmas from 39%-44%. Disapproval of the president has fallen from 54%-49%. President Obama?s approval numbers shift wildly based on the tone of the media coverage that he is receiving, but media?s negativity was hiding a convergence of positive things.

Now that the ACA website is repaired, and millions of Americans are signing up, the media?s endless drumbeat of negativity has temporarily stopped. Without the Republican fueled Obama bashing from the corporate media, the president?s approval rating has gone up, and his disapproval rating has gone down.

Republicans and the media have consistently failed to understand, and in many cases actively worked to undermine, the fact that President Obama remains basically popular. For the sixth year in a row, the president was named the most admired man in the world. For as much as Republicans try to project their hatred and contempt for this president on to the nation, the rest of the country has never shared their feelings.

Me neither. I have found Bill O'reilly ok. I watched his debate with Jon Stewart (whom I dislike), but I don't watch Fox News at all because it's so successful at telling people (its audience) what they want to hear than any other media (though they are catching up, e.g., NYT).

I highly recommend The Economist. It's the only thing I read (actually, listen to) regularly for news and analysis. And being weekly it doesn't have the daily noise.

Did you even READ the article. The film definitely was a catalyst. Probably not as much as the opportunistic warlords but it played a role. Don't believe everything you hear on FoxNews. This report is amazingly thorough.

The Daily Kos piece does link you directly to the ARB report (warning - PDF). I've provided several links to articles that cover/analyze the Benghazi attack to provide food for thought. I'm open to hearing/reading other people's sources, but all I'm seeing from you is the same old conspiracy talking points.

How can we analyze anything when, from the get go, Obama and Clinton have done everything to cloud what the public has a right to know?

I agree that accountability is critical, especially since Americans died and one of the officials involved is - most likely - running for President; however if you are starting with the presumption Obama and Clinton are covering something up, any discussion is futile IMO.

Apropos of Fox, Rush, Hannity et al, I'm trying to keep the discussion positive and informational - personally I would in no way consider them a reliable source. But by way of an article that discusses the inconsistencies in the US's offical position I found this http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013 ... benghazi-attack-challenge

http://www.nytimes.com/projects/2013/ ... /?smid=fb-share#/?chapt=0

Read this article and you'll see there was no conspiracy or cover-up. The attack was triggered by the film about Islam and opportunists preying on the goodwill of an optimistic ambassador.

Yeah, people disapprove a Republican president/congress because they are dissatisfied with a Republican president/congress; people disapprove a Democrat president/congress because they are dissatisfied with government.

Women changing their minds to disapproving of Obama is directly tied to the roll out of Obamacare, and it will likely get worse as the people who have their insurance from their jobs skyrocket in cost, or get thrown into the exchanges because their companies drop it altogether.

Locally, Christie did very well with women.

lol, I'm making up the Quinnipiac University polls?

He mentioned Qunnipiac, and I found this:

http://www.quinnipiac.edu/institutes- ... ase-detail?ReleaseID=1975

"... women disapprove 51 - 40 percent". Don't know the number a year ago, I just guess at least 11 points margin (meaning ladies liked him then as much as they don't now), so it's at least 22 points in change.

He didn't say they go to Republicans now. They may well become independents.

You are the person that jeopardizes the society because of what you believe. You do have some good points on accountability, but it's time to put away your young boy toys and grow up... When you lose the argument you resort to flaccid personal attacks, lol. Oppose Obama's politics, you're a racist. Believe in traditional marriage because of your religious beliefs, you're a homophobe. Believe, as a contributing taxpayer that supports the 47%, that you deserve a say on where and how the money is spent-you're a cold, heartless right winger. As we now see with Obamacare when the middle class gets screwed ($2,500 savings and better coverage, ahem) it's a wakeup call for the ordinary man and woman. Monroe,

Congratulations, you can put down the kook-aid sippy cup; you've drunk your fill. You truly have no deep understanding of American history, it's politics and the human condition. You are the classic fool; a baboon spouting the stupidity of the Conservative party's daily phrases, it's actually funny to watch when you see it happen on every news interview through the day. You are the person that jeopardizes the society because of what you believe. You do have some good points on accountability, but it's time to put away your young boy toys and grow up... But that would be asking too much.

You're linking the Daily Kos to support an argument, lol?

The Daily Kos piece does link you directly to the ARB report (warning - PDF). I've provided several links to articles that cover/analyze the Benghazi attack to provide food for thought. I'm open to hearing/reading other people's sources, but all I'm seeing from you is the same old conspiracy talking points.

How can we analyze anything when, from the get go, Obama and Clinton have done everything to cloud what the public has a right to know? While we know where Obama and Clinton were when Bin Laden got whacked (pictures and all) we don't have timeline for their responses during the terror attack on 9/11, on their watch. It did last, what, 12 hours or so . . .

Gee, wonder why? At least we know it wasn't because of a video, although Susan Rice was sent to spout that on, what, 5 or 6 TV shows right afterwards?

At least you didn't say 'Fox News' or 'Rush' or 'Hannity' talking points however!
