Be careful out there folks... There was an attempt on my street-parked car on Saturday night (downtown). I need a new door lock but there doesn't seem to be any further damage, and no, between alarm & immobilizer, they couldn't take the car.

Why doesn't the cops get a Honda with the wheels these ass-wipes like stealing - I'm sure insurance co's would love to participate as would a dealer or two who have had wheels stolen from their yard.
Call it operation fred flintstone

Rim locks usually just lead to a broken window on top of no wheels, since most people keep the lug key in the glove compartment.

Interesting that somebody would spend $4000 on rims and tires and not spend the extra $40 on wheel locks. Son, you got owned.

Michaelangelo Conte/The Jersey Journal
A car was stripped of its tires and rims and left on blocks in Jersey City?s Country Village this morning, officials said. Officers responded to Sycamore and Oakdale roads at 6:30 a.m. after getting a call from the owner of the 2012 Honda Civic and found the car resting on its front end with bricks under the car at its midsection on both sides, a police report says. Security video revealed two men got out of an SUV, took bricks from a yard and then drove to the Honda, exited again and stripped the wheels off before fleeing heading north on Sycamore, the report says. The owner told police each rim is worth $1,000. One thief was a wearing a grey hoodie and the other a dark colored jacket and white mask, the report says. Anyone with information is asked to call the Jersey City police tip line at (201) 547 ? JAIL.
