Just drove by 18th and Coles again. There is a united water truck on the scene any the water seems to have stopped coming out of the ground.

Mine seems to have returned to normal pressure.

BTW - it's posts like these, IMO, that make JCList worthwhile.

Pressure's low here near York & Jersey, too. Thanks all who called, and posted.

I just got off the phone with United Water customer service. There's low water pressure reported by many downtown. There was a water main break on 18th and Coles. it will take about 2 hours to fix. The water that is still safe to drink.

I went to get bottled water and happened to pass through the intersection of 18th street and Coles St. There is water percolating up through the seems where the asphalt meets the sidewalk and where new asphalt meets old asphalt. I called a united water representative to report it and they said they were looking for the spot where there is a problem. They thanked me and said they would respond right away.

Yes 10th & Erie. I called United Water emergency line. They are trying to find if there's a water main break. Their treatment facility reported an increased demand in water which is usually indicative of a break. They've been getting a lot of calls of low pressure, but nobody is reporting the rush of water. So they are aware of the problem in our area, but are looking for the source.
