Yes it was from Hoboken. I bet I have more tickets coming. Ughhh so frustrating.

Thanks all for your help.

If you were coming from Hoboken, there is a sign, but last I checked it was badly placed - hidden from drivers view behind another pole. If I had to fight a ticket from there, I'd bring a photo of this sign placement to court - it's a pretty despicable ploy by the camera operator to increase their profit.

The law definitely requires you to come to a complete stop at a red light before making a right turn. I've seen the camera at that intersection go off many times when people don't do that. It's a load of crap, especially when there's clearly no one coming, but that grey area is how police departments have always made their money.

Seriously? Did you go to court and have them pull out video? I don't want to waste a day off from work if that's the case. I honestly can't remember if I came to a complete stop, but I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't. It was late at night, no one was there.

Even if it's properly marked, they will get you if you don't come to a COMPLETE stop before turning. They have video too. Got me at Montgomery & Kennedy AND and 18th!

It's happened to me as well as a number of other NJ residents.... As a matter of fact, it consistently happening all over the state. The state is being sued by a class action lawsuit for this very reason.

I personally wait for the light to change at every intersection with a traffic camera (the one on Kennedy and communipaw is particularly annoying)!

I received a ticket in the mail from a traffic light camera on 18th and Jersey for turning right on red. As far as I know, there is no sign there. Has anyone else received violations like this? It's for $85, I know I've done that more than once this summer so I'm waiting for more tickets to come in. I called the dispatcher and he said he doesn't believe there's a sign and I should go to court to fight.... which would mean taking off work.
