I voted Fulop too but I agree that Healy and his immediate family are good people.

Much to the disbelief of probably most people on the board, Healy is a good guy, and he does care about Jersey City.
(before you attack me, I voted for Fulop!)

"Healy was told he could invite one person, and he invited Fulop."
If true - did he have a choice, or some actual act of decency?

Jersey City mayor, mayor-elect to meet with Obama, Christie in Asbury Park
By Terrence T. McDonald/The Jersey Journal on May 26, 2013 at 11:23 AM, updated May 26, 2013 at 1:21 PM Jersey City's mayor and mayor-elect will appear in Asbury Park on Tuesday when President Obama visits the Jersey Shore to view the rebuilding and recovery efforts from Hurricane Sandy. It will be the first joint public appearance the two city officials have made since the May 14 election, when Councilman Steve Fulop unseated Mayor Jerramiah Healy by a substantial margin. In a statement from the city, Healy praised Obama and Gov. Chris Christie for showing their "commitment to the recovery and rebuilding efforts of New Jersey and the entire nation." Fulop, meanwhile, said he looks forward to speaking to Obama about the challenges Jersey City faced following the Oct. 29 storm, which left large swaths of the city underwater and without power.
