Do you have the address of this place....i was in Grove Street.... a few months back...on my way to NYC. I had time to kill and saw this sandwich shop/deli that was open. It was around 2 or 3 in the morning. And just about everyone who went in(i got an ice tea) ordered sandwiches.

Not sure of the address but it's right on Grove towards the North, about 20 feet. Tiny shop with a blue awning, and I can attest that they have amazing sandwiches.

Definitely not the one you're thinking of though, you're thinking of A-Plus Deli, which is to the south, and open later.

I've eaten there quite a bit, although that's gone down some with places like park & 6th, kraverie and such nearby. I rather like the place. It's a good, simple sandwich with fresh ingredients (disclaimer, i've never had the grilled chicken).

my normal go to is a turkey with the avocado spread. I think it's the #1 or 2 on the menu

Really?! My experience with them has been extremely underwhelming - ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and the chicken was tasteless and extremely dry. Should've known when they were reheating the already dry looking chicken breasts on the grill too. My husband ordered some other sandwich which was better, but not memorable. I tried them out due to the great reviews online, which lead me to question the validity of what was written. To each their own I guess...

Pretty sure the little sandwich shop operates heavily off of coporate catering... and walk-ins and personal delivery are secondary.

Totally agree. They're also closed on Sundays, which sucks during football season.

The little sandwich shop on Grove near the PATH station makes some of the best sandwiches in town. I am really confused as to why its evening hours are so inconsistent and short. I'd think they'd do great business and make even more profit staying open until 9 or so given the location. PATH trains coming back from NYC are pretty full until close to 9 PM.

Always went by it and never stopped, till I did and got hooked! Tasty, tasty sandwiches and very good rice pudding. The owners are very nice too, and it seems very clean. The only drawback is that they close early (7 p.m.) The owner told me he used to be open till 8 but there wasn't enough business to justify the extra hour...
Anyway, it's really good and if you haven't tried, you should. And no, I didn't get a year's worth of rice pudding to write that.
