Anyone watch the Canadian F1 grand prix yesterday? It was absolutely awesome. I hadn't watched F1 in nearly 15 years, and had forgotten how thrilling the races could be. LSP and JC lost out on this one, but as other posters pointed out, the elevation switches around Weehawken will make it a hell of a race.

Oh and don't complain if two of the best F1 drivers do donuts on a road in your town. Everywhere else in the world they'd rip up the tarmac and display it as art. At least the F1 drivers know how to turn right, unlike the wooden spoon elbow folks in Nascar and drag racing.

The people filming this commercial are irresponsible! I, for one, will not stand for driving stunts that are officially-endorsed, paid-for, on closed courses with professional drivers and police presence! Think of the children that might see these advertisements!

Two time, and current defending, world champion behind the wheel. I'd say he was plenty skilled enough for some donuts and little spirited driving.

DC is no slouch either.

BRING ON THE F1!!!!!

I wish J City sees no money from F1.. We had the chance to get F1 here and a small majority decided the fate without any real consideration.. J City should stick to its gun and say we don't want your race and money..

I'll be going to the race.

I am a big F1 fan and cannot wait for this event. I am quite upset they're not holding the race at LSP, but the weehawkin track is much more appealing with the elevation changes taken into account.

I read an article this morning from someone who was in one of the two infinitis - they admitted it was a bit reckless because the road wasn't closed... but that being said... the whole thing was lead by a police escort and there were F1 level drivers behind the wheel...

At the fast part of the course, the F1 cars will be doing 200+mph

This was a win for NJ... and I am disappointed it didn't find a home at LSP.

Not sure how that is irresponsible, considering it is on a closed road, done by professionals, with police presence.

Can't say I'm a F1 fan but it is still a win for NJ and would have been awesome to see in LSP.
