Was he the skinny guy who is kind of bent over? Hanging out around Grand/Van Vorst/Warren?

RIP Henry. He was certainly entertaining to talk to, and put an impressive amount of work into keeping his block clean, putting the garbage out, sweeping up. He had been in the hospital for a few weeks but was out on the block again last week. He'll be missed.

So very sad to hear this news. I would see him often, sweeping up Grand Street and around the corner. He obviously had a lot of pride for his community, something we all should model. I remember seeing him on Halloween, he was dressed like the Monopoly man. He looked happy to see all of the children out and about. I never knew his name and I'm sad that I didn't get to know him better.

Wasn't he the nice old man on Grand st who was always sweeping up the street? If so that's terrible news. He would always say hi when I saw him and spend a few minutes talking about my dogs, downtown, the weather. Just an absolute stand up character in the neighborhood.
