Maybe she just finished the Nyc Marathon and was in dire need for a salt fix 'cause she ran out of Gatorade. That metal post she was carrying was just the baton used in the race possibly slipping out of her sweaty hands. Yeah that's it.

Woman hits Chinese restaurant worker with metal post over request for salt, cops say

A worker at Happy Garden Chinese restaurant at Newark and Palisade Avenues in Jersey City was assaulted by a woman over a demand for salt, police said.

Jersey City police are looking for a woman who struck a Chinese restaurant worker with a metal post when an argument erupted after she demanded salt in a verbally abusive manner, officials said.

At about 4 p.m. Tuesday police responded to the restaurant at Newark and Palisade avenues where the 25-year-old victim said the woman yelled at him and other employees before threatening to assault him, reports said.

He said she then picked up the metal post and threw it at him, striking him in the back, reports said, adding that she then fled toward the Hudson Gardens Housing complex.

The woman was described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing about 230 pounds, reports said, adding that she had short dreadlocks and was wearing a black jacket.

The incident was captured by a security surveillance camera, reports said.
