I'm pretty sure Hoboken Wireless does this. They're on Washington & 3rd St.

i think its just a video store that sells cell phones. they were very aware of what phones won't work on certain networks (ie: verizon dual band phones not holding proper data on at&t and tmobile)

for something used and affordable they weren't bad. they also have a ton of listings on craiglist so you can kind of shop for what you're looking for before making the drive.

Yeah I did well on the phone - expect to pay about $100 for a working 3G with cracked glass on ebay -- but you can get a 2G or 1st gen for less that $50... 2G no camera or 3G -- otherwise they are really all the same if you are just going to use it on wifi -- (you really need a min of 3GS for the GPS if you want to use that in your car) -- I pay for text $.10 but can text free with wifi. If you keep breaking iphones then get an Otterbox -- sure they are big but the clip even covers the screen. Only $15 on ebay... Resized Image Moss: "But it's an iPhone, Jen! I may be able to get an iPhone without giving any money to Apple! I'll be living the dream!"

Good score! My son has your plan since he can get unlimited texts for $15/mo. I'm on the similar ATT plan, but the broken phones I've been looking at on ebay for parts have mostly been immersed! I'm really reluctant to get a non-flip phone since I managed to break the little caller ID screen on a flip twice, my pocket is a dangerous place. But it appears what broke after 3 months (bedsides the little screen) is the flex cable between the shells, go figure. The CSR at Nokia told me one had to be very careful opening and closing flip phones!!! But the broken screen prevented me from getting warranty repair for the cable. I'm ranting. whoops.

Most of the ATT phones now a days are all quadband. I got a quadband off a amazon.

I didn't have to go into J&R, at around 4 an Amazon courier showed up with the phone...

Amazon should just stick with UPS for its 2 Day deliveries...

Careful, there's 2 different GSM standards, 850/1900 for US and 900/1800 for Europe. Be sure you get one that does the right frequencies.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GSM_frequency_bands

The prices for unlocked phones are pretty ridiculous. I just got a primitive but reputedly indestructible Moto F3 for $45 after my 3 month old Nokia 6350 crapped out.

I need to get a unlocked phone today and I don't know who sells unlocked phones around here.

I know bestbuy has phones but they are still locked to a network even though you are paying full retail on it..
