Or old Jersey City style. Actually we are coming up on the 10 year anniversary of the murder of J.C. police officer Dominick Infantes. The off duty officer addressed his neighbors lighting off fireworks in a dangerous manner the end result was murder by the neighbors because they did not feel they should have been reprimanded.

That's a sad story, and crazy that a jury would let them off easy like that. But not sure how it relates to my comment, are you illustrating the negative outcome of confronting these scumbags on ones own?

Attend the Heights police Captain's Meeting 7:30 pm at PS #28 School every third Thursday of the month next one is May 19th. Please rant about this situation before it gets worse and they feel that they do own the said property.

A.Theres an ordinance against loud music/noice after 10 pm/
B.Theres an ordiance against loiteing.
C.If they dont own that vacant lot, then their also Tresspassing on private property.
D.Their creating a public nuisance.

Theres a host of violations at hand, just be diligent and go right to the top and contact the north district Captain directly and complain until you get this resolved.

Good Luck.

1) Call the police, give them a chance to respond and if the noise continues call the police again. Keep a record of all your calls you may need them later if you end up suing.

2) Get some of your neighbors to call the police as well. The more squeaky wheels the more likely a vigorous response.

3) Try contacting the landlord of the empty lot. He may be responsible for any injuries that occur on the lot. He will have a financial incentive to get them off his lot permanently. You should be able to find his information on Hudson property tax records.

4) Try contacting the landlord of the home where the rowdy neighbors live, again the information will be on Hudson property tax records

5) Reach out to your local neighbors association and ask for their help.

6) Find out which precinct you live in and go to a captain's meeting and ask for the assistance.

7) If it gets really obnoxious walk in to your local precinct and ask for help. This will get you a better response than calling.

Worse comes to worse contact a lawyer to file a public nuisance lawsuit

Maybe the housing inspector or fire inspector can find some violations.

On Milton avenue (between Lincoln and Bowers st.) a two-family home has been rented with an adjacent lot. Somehow these bozos have built a fence around the lot, parked their car in there...and spend their time blasting music, sitting in their car blasting music...having loud parties at night...and demanding that people not park in their driveway...'cept they don't have a driveway...a legal one anyway. And this morning...I saw two plastic chairs, and two long, hefty pieces of lumber that are supposed to keep people from parking near their house. What kind of crazy place is this where people can get away with this nonsense.

Last fall they dragged a large screen television into the lot, had a beer party...long into the night...and disturbed the hell out of the neighbours. I know people living on the block have complained to them, their landlord, and the police (who have been notified dozens of times from everything from being a noise nuisance to illegally claiming their adjacent lot is their property and they can do what they want...). The worst thing is the lot is right on the corner and everyone can see everything going on there...and between the parties, the noise, this is really gonna' drive real estate property values for neighboring homes down. What can one do about this situation...?

Anyone have any ideas?
