Dickinson HS has a great hill for sledding, except you have to jump off before you hit the wrought iron fence.

The area is mostly flat except that across from the diner there is an embankment to a road that leads to Liberty National...at the top of it is a guardrail and small area to begin your launch...its very steep and quick. I haven't been this year but had a blast last year and after hot cocoa and doughnuts at the diner.

Last year the problem there was people who have no hill etiquette. They'd make a run, then stand around at the bottom like idiots, or worse, climb the slope right in the middle, blocking anyone else and breaking up the packed snow on the hill at the same time. I saw more collision carnage there than I have in years, mostly sledders unable to avoid the solid line of morons cavorting at the bottom of the hill instead of getting to the side and climbing there. Lincoln at the gazebo is definitely better for smaller kids.

Where exactly? I recall that area being flat as Iowa except for the street.

Quite a regular

There is a hill in Lincoln Park close to Duncan Avenue near the picnic area. It looks like it would be good for young kids but not very challenging for older children. Leonard Gordon Park has some sloped areas (on JFK Blvd and Manhattan Avenue - with the buffalo and bear statues) but not sure if they are good for sledding.
