My fave: TWICE I got tickets from the machine that were totally blank. I guess they were saving on ink.
I just KNEW a cop was going to ask to see one of them but blessedly it didn\'t happen.

Does NJTransit have a rule that at least ONE of the ticket machines at each station must be nonfunctioning at all times..

Looks like some light rail fare enforcement going on in Blumpkin's avatar.

I stand corrected with the 10ride I guess. I haven't purchased a 10ride since the fare increase. They definitely expired 20 days after purchase and had a date on bottom.. To answer the original question. If there is no date above the punched out hole in the center bottom of the ticket, it won't expire..

No. You can buy the 10 ride package but there is no discount anymore. It's $21

Can you still buy a 10 ride discount?

The expiry period used to be 1 month on discount tickets

they will expire if you purchase them with the 10 ride discount option. the expiration date will be printed on the bottom of the ticket. all other tickets at full fare purchase don't expire.

Someone had mentioned to me that individual light rail tickets expire after a period of time. However, I don't see an expiration date on the tickets. Are they good indefinitely, that is, until you validate them? I use the light rail erratically, sometimes a few times a week, sometimes none. What's the best way to buy tickets? Thank you.
