We eat there a lot but I've never paid that much per head for brunch!
Green Cow had great french toast. It was 4 bucks and included a fruit salad. Too bad they are closed.

Do you mean closed and will re-open or closed for good/closed down, out of business??

Gotta say I agree on the Flamingo. Its not to thick not to thin and they give you a good amount of butter.
Just dont use their bathrooms.

Madam Claude's is really good but you grow old waiting for your food if they are busy.

I've only gotten delivery from Little Sandwich Shop but their food and service is excellent from what I've experienced. The owner personally called me to apologize for forgetting french fries with my order and they were delivered asap. I've never gotten french toast but I'd be optimistic about it being just as good as everything else.

ok. I went to Marco and Pepe today. Although the french toast was a bit different than typical, I'm afraid it didn't measure up. Primarily because the portion is so small that I was still hungry after finishing it. My personal preference is thick french toast and theirs was extremely thin.

I also went to Amelia's and there french toast was extremely thick almost too much whereby the insides was pure bread without any taste of egg/butter, etc. The other negative is there service was a little slow and when you are there with 2 young children, quick service is important. However, so far this is the best place I've tried.

So?
Where did you go, and did the French Toast measure up?

I think you owe us the follow-up post.

I don't miss too much about Oddfellows, but they had a fantastic pain perdu ... with a NEST of bacon on top. That was tasty. Now I'm wanting french toast. ...

My house. I made the challah last night using buttermilk I got at the Van Vorst Farmers Market. And we have fresh strawberries. Dog friendly & kid friendly!

On a more serious note, Skinner's Loft has good french toast.
