I pass west side ave frequently. Your more likely to see less expensive places to eat like Cluck U Chicken or some pizzerias. Unless they were coming out of Puccini's, but why would you pay cash at Puccini's anyway.

Really people, $300 bucks is not that much money to carry around. Dinner for 2 and a nice bottle of wine $150.

For $40 you can have the same nice dinner at home. $150 what warrants that expense ?

Good to hear nothing he's alive after this incident.

Sometimes money isn't just good enough for these thugs!

He could have came from the ATM or a check cashing or dumb enough to count it outside.

Not everyone carries plastic with them. Most local bars don't accept it. And by local I mean Westside area.

It may have been the thieves lucky day, it could be any of us. Some days I may only have $20-40 bucks on me.....other days I may have $300-1,000, depending on where I'm going.

Jersey City has become a breeding ground for Drug Dealers, Murderers, Gangs, Violent Crime and overall Criminal Activity.
When is Mayor Healy and our Chief of Police going to get serious about the crime issue in Jersey City. What has the Healy Council done towards addressing the crime issue? I have yet to see them propose any solutions. Under Healy and his Council (most of them being in office for numerous years) Jersey City has become a comfortable place for criminals to live and go about their business.

He might have just withdrawn some cash from an ATM machine - one has to be careful and alert when you do so.

Well the way I see it walkin around on West Side at that time of night and with that amount of cash...you can't be up to any good. Not that anyone deserves to be robbed though.
