And yes, many of these kids are not selling chocolate/candy to raise money for school or charity (some are). A lot of them simply sell the stuff to make some pocket change. I throw them a bone once and a while.

Exactly. They could be doing much worse things to get some extra cash.

gangbangers, wibbit. really? gangbangers selling peanut butter cups? yeah. ok.

They are not selling the candy for any charity or for school. I've seen them in BJ's early in the morning buying 4 or 5 boxes of candy each and then they walk around asking people to buy it from them.

The two dudes at Target gave me gruff for passing them by. It was definitely not for charity unless you feel helping them set up their bedroom music studio is a charitable cause.

They're always nice to me too. I usually just smile and say "no thanks." Although I'm not convinced they're gangbangers, I'm also not convinced that they're selling chocolate for a legit cause either.

What makes you think they are 'gangbangers'? I was there a few days ago and someone asked me to buy a candy bar. I said no thanks, and they didn't hassle me at all. I would guess that if it was any sort of shady business, the management at target would be all over it. Next time I go, I'll ask what charity it's for.

So what's the deal with the gangbangers hassling everyone outside target and the newport mall to buy their overpriced reese's? Is it really for charity/school?

I told one of them i dont like chocolate, and he said they are not chocolate they are peanut butter, was pretty funny. Then they went after some indian family, were pretty nice at the beginning, but when the indians ignored him, he started cursing, the poor lady was almost running to get away lol
