yeah - Decarlos is on Monmouth and does very nice stuff. I think it's mainly bespoke but he may have some off the rack type offerings. He also does custom women's shirts...

LOL - I'm definitely a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy. I'd like to liven up my wardrobe a little though. I definitely felt funny using the word boutique, but I'd like to support the local small businesses rather than head to the mall.

Now that Life is closed, can anybody suggest a local Downtown spot to grab some new duds? Men's boutiques? I'd like to avoid the mall. Also, I'm not sure if I'm into the vintage clothing thing...

Wait, did you say "men's" and "boutique" in the same sentence? A man does not buy his clothing in a "boutique". He goes to the army and navy store or K Mart or, if he is affluent, Sears. A man does not buy clothing in a "boutique".

well, not a "real" man, right, eddie? ;)

that's right -- he said Sears.

Originally, I think Life was supposed to move into Hamilton Square, but if you check out the website, lifejc.com, you'll see that Cliff is planning on closing the store. Too bad though, Cliff is the nicest guy, and his place was great.
