Sounds like it's attracting the crowd from down the block at York St. Tavern (the old "Nicco's").

Man beaten outside Jersey City bar on life support, cops say
Published: Wednesday, September 01, 2010, 3:35 PM Michaelangelo Conte/The Jersey Journal A Warren man beaten outside of a Jersey City bar remains on life support. A Warren man remains on life support after being brutally beaten outside a Downtown Jersey City bar in the early morning hours Saturday in an incident in which two of his friends were also injured, officials said today. When police responded to Washington and York streets at 1:58 a.m. they found the 22-year-old victim lying on the ground and he was unresponsive and bleeding from the face, nose and right ear, reports said. The man was rushed to the Jersey City Medical Center in critical condition and Lt. Edgar Martinez said today that he is still hospitalized and on a ventilator. One of the victim's friends, a 22-year-old Lebenon man, had a swollen face and jaw and he later underwent surgery for five fractures to his facial bones, reports said. A second friend, a 22-year-old Clifton man who was intoxicated, also complained of facial pain, reports said. A bouncer at Grand Banks Bar & Cafe told police he escorted the Warren man out of the establishment after he became involved in a fight with another group of patrons, reports said. But the bar employee said the man's attackers followed him out to the street and wanted to fight, reports said. The bouncer said he was trying to disperse the disorderly groups when he saw the Warren man get punched in the face by two men who then kicked him in the face after he was down, reports said. The two attackers ran away and were last scene at Washington and Montgomery streets, reports said. Both attackers were described as being between 22 to 23-years-old, reports said. One was about 5-feet 10-inches tall, of slim build and wearing a red shirt, blue jeans and a dark colored hat, reports said. The second man being sought was wearing a NY Giants T-shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers, reports said. Anyone with information on the assault is asked to call the Jersey City police tip line at (201) 547-JAIL. ********************************** from nj.com http://www.nj.com/hudson/index.ssf/20 ... _outside_jersey_city.html buy the Jersey Journal..a nice newspaper.
