Seems many here approve of illegal permanent entry into this country. So should we end the use of passports and just say there are here on a stay-cation ?

Hey... did you even read the article and not just the misleading headline... It basically says a majority of illegal aliens do not pay income taxes... they do pay sales taxes etc. They draw $24k average in "social benefits" but pay only$11K in taxes with a net loss to US taxpayers of $13K. They may pay some sort of local sales tax but in no way does that offset what they are paying into the social service net, compared to what they are sucking out of it. Typical liberal headline writer who does not understand content of article and writes a headline easily digestible by other foolish liberals. Inability to understand math and analyze data is what lead the whiny liberals to think Hillary won the election.

Actually, undocumented immigrants in this country contribute tens of BILLIONS of dollars in taxes every year. Literally, BILLIONS, and they do not get to reap many of the benefits of those taxes. LINK WITH REAL DATA

This is why our education system sucks. Former teachers don't know simple grammar!

This is the reason our schools are crowded and there is a shortage of housing. It is the reason some hospitals have closed because of the medical cost are transferred to these hospitals. Nothing is free, someone is paying for the basic services of undocument immigrants. By the way, it appears this country goes after certain immigrants. I have know 3 people, 2 from Europe and one Canadian who were deported.

Fulop may change his tune on "sanctuary cities" once the Trump administration formalizes the punishments it will inflict on cities that refuse to enforce the immigration laws meant to help us all.

Fulop: despite Trump, Jersey City remains 'welcoming' to immigrants By JERSEY CITY — Mayor Steve Fulop today joined a chorus of Democratic mayors nationwide who have tried to reassure immigrants rattled over last week's election of Donald J. Trump as president, saying the city will remain a so-called "sanctuary city" for undocumented residents. "Jersey City remains the golden door to this country for immigrants and that will not change despite a change in the presidency," Fulop said in a statement. "Our policies, principles and our city, as a whole, will remain a welcoming community for immigrants and families." Read more: http://www.nj.com/hudson/index.ssf/20 ... y_will_remain_a_welc.html
