I had a similar experience with a super market on Sip Ave. The "manager" turned out to be quite useless but I did manage to make progress when I spoke to PSEG directly. I highly recommend calling them and filing a complaint. Assuming they do their job, they should dispatch a service person to point the lights down. If that's not a solution, escalate as recommended in this thread.

Oh, how I would love to point a floodlight at your house and tell you the same.

Less effort than purchasing non lethal weapons and way less than attempting to involve the city.

There are flood light directional / glare shields that can be purchased or even some DIY tin around the flood light so it only shines downwards.

Had a similar problem with a parking lot having an alarm bell ring everytime a vehicle left the exit (to warn pedestrians) but it went on all night. Wife wrote a nice, short letter, dropped it off with a cc at the bottom to the management company and end of problem.

I would contact your local council and committee persons along with the 3 at large councilpersons. You may even want to contact the J.C. zoning and traffic divisions for this matter.

Anyone know if there are any rules/regulations re: flood lights?

I live on 7th street and recently Ziggy's autobody installed these huge flood lights over their parking lot on the corner of 7th and division. They are way too big for the space, and so bright that they make my apartment feel like it's in the middle of yankee stadium (or in the middle of a prison yard). They are on all night and its' very blinding. Does anyone know if there is anyway to do something about this?

Anyone else on 7th street feel my pain?
