Saving Goldman and allowing it's major competitor Lehman to go bankrupt and then saving AIG so it could guarantee Goldman's losses...yep, taxpayers OWN Goldman...and Paulson should spend his life in jail.
AIG got 80 BILLION...13 BILLION went to Goldman. THat doesn't count as TARP!
Goldman paid back what it owed...in Alice's looking glass.

Sorry for you Goldman workers still sucking at the taxpayers's TEAT...TARP notwithstanding. I know you all want your money, but you didn't earn it but you'll still suck in enough of it from the taxpayers.

Building full? Did they open up a couple dollar stores or a large whorehouse?

How strange. GS headquarters is in Manhattan and so are the media. Did they decide to protest here because parking is cheaper?

Xerses - How do you know the tower is half empty? It is actually at full capacity & has been since late March. This is a fact.

"We want respect back in Quebec," said...Milot.

Then the steel workers chanted, "We want it all back in Montreal."
And they went back and forth like that for hours.

Bizarro World indeed:
Quecois, working in a cable mill outside Montreal which is a subsidiary of a steel company headquartered in MILAN demonstrating in Jersey City in front of a half empty Goldman Sacks building which by rights should be owned by the American taxpayer.

Maybe their next step is to picket the White House?

Paging Jerry Seinfeld here.

Quebec steel workers picket here

Wednesday, August 05, 2009
By MICHAELANGELO CONTE
JOURNAL STAFF WRITER

Between 40 and 50 striking steel workers from Quebec demonstrated yesterday at the Goldman Sachs Building in Jersey City to pressure the corporation, which owns 30 percent of the company they work for, to help end a labor dispute.

"We want respect back in Quebec," said United Steel Workers official Sylvain Milot. "We want them to continue to make money, but we want our fair share."

The union represents 200 workers at Prysmian Cable outside Montreal. The last union contract ended in January and workers went on strike in April. The workers said they want management to abandon proposed changes to their pension plans, preserve seniority rights, and raise their wages by 25 cents an hour.

A spokesman for Goldman Sachs said the company had no comment on the protest.

Officials with Prysmian, which is headquartered in Milan, Italy, and has 53 plants in 21 countries, couldn't be reached to comment.
